Care Instructions

Every detail is carefully considered, from the smooth finish to the elegant proportions, creating pieces that are both beautiful and functional.

Wipe Clean Daily: Gently wipe both the white marble and engraved wooden sections of the platter with a soft, slightly damp cloth after each gathering or serving use to remove crumbs and surface residues.
Hand Wash Only: Clean by hand using mild dish soap and lukewarm water when necessary. Never submerge the platter in water or place it in the dishwasher, as prolonged moisture can warp the wood and weaken the mixed-material joint.
Dry Promptly: Dry the entire platter thoroughly with a clean, soft towel immediately after washing to prevent moisture from settling into the porous marble or the wooden grain.
Prevent Staining: Promptly wipe away oils, dressing spills, wine, or strongly pigmented foods. Both natural marble and wood are porous and can absorb liquids if they are left sitting on the surface for extended periods.
Condition the Wood: Periodically treat the wooden half with a small amount of food-safe mineral oil or wood balm to preserve the natural grain, protect the custom monogram engraving, and keep the wood from drying out.
Safe Handling & Placement: Lift and move the platter securely with both hands, placing it gently on flat, stable surfaces, as heavy natural stone and wood can chip or crack if dropped or knocked against hard countertops.
Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Stay away from abrasive scrubbers, metal scouring pads, and acidic or bleach-based cleaners, which will scratch the polished marble finish and damage the wood.

Safe Packaging

At The House of Marbella, protecting your piece is just as important to us as crafting it. Before any product leaves us, it goes through 2–3 layers of quality inspection to ensure it meets our standards. Each piece is then carefully cleaned and individually checked by two different team members before being approved for packing. Once approved, our dedicated packaging team begins a carefully designed multi-layer packing process. The product is first secured with protective thermocol and placed inside an inner box to minimise movement and impact during transit. The inner package is then thoroughly wrapped with bubble wrap and placed inside a strong outer shipping box for an additional layer of protection. Once completely packed, the package undergoes a drop test to ensure that the packaging is ready to withstand the handling involved during transit. Only after successfully passing our quality, cleaning, packaging and drop-test checks is the order cleared for dispatch. From our hands to your home, every piece is packed with patience, precision and care so it reaches you as beautifully as it left us.
